I’ve used various tinted films but needed a privacy one because of a yappy dog! This film is just as easy to install, plenty of soapy water and it adheres nearly perfectly - nearly being the word, the begging of the roll where the curve is at its greatest has proven difficult . When the film arrives it’s in a tube and the cure it’s become accustomed to refuses to lay flat against the window regardless of how much reverse rolling or soapy water I apply. Hopefully it will flatten out in a few days but as of now, 12 hrs after installation it still curls. Looks great from inside and out and affords 100% privacy and reduced barking from my dog who likes to yap when she sees the wind! Apart from that one small negative it’s great.

I wanted a cheap privacy rainbow film and after numerous searches on amazon landed on this one, I was a bit worried considering one had a review about it coming off the edges but didn't have that problem at all. I decided to create a custom design from it of a brick pattern and I am in love with it. Allows enough privacy but still has peaks of outside view. One of the things that took me aback was that there was no adhesion whatsoever from the back end/part that sticks to the window. Nevertheless I managed to get it to work with plenty of soapy water (in a spray bottle) and something like a wallpaper smoother (anything to lay it flat and squeeze air bubbles out i.e. old credit card). I found later on that the static, soapy water, squeezing air pockets out was what got it to stick once it dried and it wont budge at all unless I purposely try to remove it by grabbing a corner. In terms of process: 1. Spray the surface with soapy water. 2. Remove backing sheet, try not to touch the side that sticks to the window as it needs the static to adhere, use your nails to hold the vinyl or make sure your hands are dust, oil, dirt free etc. Minimal contact. And stick it to where you would like it to go. 3. Spray more soapy water on top of the vinyl, hold it in place to stop it from slipping and use a card/ smoother to get rid of the air bubbles and make sure its laying flat against the window. 4. You can then use this time when its still wet to slide it around. Where it needs to go. 5. Leave it be and it will dry and stick in place, the surroundings may look dry but the soapy water still between the sheet and window is wet so it'll be fully dry in a few hours. Less if it's warm. Tips for installation: 1. Lay flat beforehand. To get it to lay flat better and doesn't lift at the edges since it comes in a roll, the way I did it with my design was to cut out the shapes and then lay it flat between/under books. But definitely recommend flattening it out prior to installation cause it will lift with the way it comes rolled up. 2. Plenty of soap water, absolutely plenty. Because of the tedious design I went with, I often found it'd be dry before the next piece so I recommend spraying as you go. 3. With the soapy water it will mean the vinyl will slip around. This is completely normal and allows you wiggle room to slide it into place. 4. Premeasuring and cutting goes without saying as itll be harder to cut once its on and won't lay into the corners then. 5. Patience (it personally took me 2hrs to install just because of this design of measuring, drawing, cutting, laying it flat, removing sticky backing, applying, aligning etc) 6. Do it on a sunny day, means that it'd dry quicker and you see the effects of it in real time. Pictures (1. What it looks like in daylight of cloudy day. 2. I've put this up on my bathroom windows. I had no problem cutting this to size at all,also,no problem peeling off the backing and no problem putting it up. It has been on for a few weeks now and has been perfect,no peeling or falling off whatsoever. When the sun shines through it looks awesome,soft reflections of rainbow colours go all over the place. These didn't quite create the look I wanted as you can still see through, not well, but isn't completely private (added to bathroom window). Do love the rainbow stain glass look these create when the sun is out. Fairly easy to add to window, which is a bonus

Die Folie ließ sich super einfach mit Hilfe der Anleitung anbringen. Hält auch super. Blickdicht und gleichzeitig ein wunderschönes Farbspiel wenn die Sonne durchschaut. Mit einem scharfen Cuttermesser lässt sich die Folie auch gut zuschneiden.
