This is the best privacy screening I’ve used. We’ve a small summer house that guests can stay in to have their privacy when they come to stay. This allows them to be inside in the warm without having to have the curtains closed and sitting in the dark. It’s iridescent and makes lovely patterns as the sunlight comes through ,and it’s definitely opaque from both sides. It’s very sticky and a little hard to fit as it grabs onto the window immediately. It’s not that hard but you need to make sure you have all the pieces cut to size and your tools ready as you don’t get much adjustment time. It’s definitely worth the money and is better than the other stuff I’ve tried by a country mile. Highly recommended.

Top quality stuff one mistake sent wrong colour but keeping it anyway. When sunny I can see this film will reflect colour quite nicely. Very sparkling from outside and looks nice.

I have a frosted bathroom window as you do in my bathroom, however it isn’t the best and my blind just broke. But I’m tiling so wanted this for now. I did wonder if it would look a little old fashioned but it is actually so pretty I’m going to keep it up anyway as an additional cover. When I first applied it you struggled to make out much of the pattern, however as the sun started shining on it you could then see the full beauty of it, my initial one is just plain but in combination with this it looks great and really obscures the view from outside. What I am most amazed by is how much warmer my bathroom is, it’s shown me my windows are rubbish because just adding this has made such a difference. Such an inexpensive job has gave huge money saving results. Now applying it is a little tricky due to it sticking straight away so you need to ensure the surface is nice and clean and go slowly when you move down smoothing it out with patience. Gradually remove the backing as you move. I’d honestly recommend this as it is beautiful and so useful. I’m pleased I decided to give it a try 👍

This frosted window film is a total game-changer! I was hesitant at first, thinking it would be a difficult DIY project, but I was pleasantly surprised. 🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹 The Honlone window film is available in various sizes and textures. It’s a little hard to see from the pictures on the product page what the difference is between the crystal flower (which I chose), and the rainbow flower, as to me they both look the same. The film has UV rejection and is anti glare as well as providing privacy. As you might expect, the film arrives in a roll, and comes complete with printed instructions, a squeegee, which has a plastic edge and a velvet edge, and a craft knife for trimming. There were also four red arrows (not the aeroplanes !) The instructions are straightforward - 1. Clean and measure. 2. Spray water. 3. Peel off. 4. Position. 5. Smooth. 6. Cut the film There is a brief description of each of these stages on the instruction leaflet. 🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹 The film has no odour, and is a lovely floral design which has a vintage feel to it. I chose it because we have recently had a garage conversion, and had the up and over garage door replaced with patio doors. Whilst I still wish to allow light into the area, I would like the contents to be private, so this film will be perfect for putting on the windows. I can see it would also be useful for rooms in the home where you may be overlooked or wish to protect yourself from the sun’s rays in the Summer.

I have used this window film in my bedroom and it is better at obscuring the view than I thought it would be, initially. My only real gripe with this stuff was removeing the backing film, it can be really tricky to get the two sheets to separate. Once you do manage to separate them, everything is easy to install. Another minor gripe is the orientation of the rolls for patterns. Of all the different window films I have used, this stuff wwent on the easiest and with the least hassle. I was very pleased with how easily it adhered. When the light shines, you get some rainbow fractals as the light is defracted resulting in rainbow spots on your walls, quite nice to see.

This film for the window has a nice crystalised flower design. It helps block sunlight when it gets too bright and also provides privacy. I love the colourful colours that are projected inside as it looks very floral.

Le fenêtre de ma chambre donne dans la rue et je commençais à en avoir marre de fermer en partie les volets de ma chambre pour éviter les regards indiscrets.... J'ai donc voulu mettre un brise vue et je dois dire que ça change tout. Le kit est un rouleau, une petite raclette avec un côté doux et un côté dur et un cutter pour la découpe. Le film est plutôt rigide et n'a rien à voir avec les films pour teinter les vitres de voitures, c'est beaucoup plus simple à appliquer. Les bulles se chassent bien et le film colle correctement. Dans sa version "opale" on a l'impression de voir du givre sur la fenêtre à l'intérieur, côté extérieur ça reflète. Du coup ça fait complètement la travail de confidentialité et c'est un plaisir de remettre de la lumière dans ma chambre 😊

La pose se fait bien finalement. J'ai mis moins de temps que je ne pensais. Ce film est un peu plus « fluide » que je l'avais imaginé. Donc plus difficile à faire épouser la forme de la fenêtre mais mais moins facile à manipuler. Il faut bien utiliser de l'eau pour coller le film. Plutôt de l'eau déminéralisée selon moi pour éviter les traces. Même si ça ne se verra que quand on retirera le film au final. Je ne conseille pas d'utiliser autre chose que de l'eau (produit pour les vitres, alcool, … ça ne marche pas aussi bien que l'eau, voire ça crée des problèmes). Plutôt que de découper une forme exacte, je pense que il faut découper grosso modo et laisser 1-2cm en trop de chaque coté et finir par découper au cutter comme sur les exemples. On obtiens vraiment un découpé sur mesure sans passer trop de temps à poser bien droit à mesurer, marquer les mesures et découper. Si on laisse trop de marges on aura du mal à plaquer et coller le film et le faire tenir pendant la découpe. Si on découpe trop juste, on passera beaucoup de temps à aligner et redresser bien droit sur la fenêtre pour n'avoir aucun « trou » sur les cotés. C'est pour ça que je préfère poser légèrement large puis redécouper. L'outil de pose fourni est très pratique pour ça. Il faut faire attention à ne pas découper les joints de fenêtre par contre et bien poser l'outil raclette entre le cutter let le joint pour le protéger. Le cœur de tube en mousse est plutôt pratique. ça change du centre ne carton. Un peu moins écolo mais un peu plus pratique et moins de risques de pliures surtout. Le film tiens très bien et il est repositionnable mais honnêtement à mon avis si je dois l'enlever et le remettre bien droit ça sera un peu long et galère à faire ça avec précision. Ce lot : Le cutter est inclus ! Parfait ! Il est plutôt économique, on a une bonne surface pour le prix. On peut faire une très grande fenêtre ou plusieurs moyennes. Les petits autocollant pour séparer le film et la protection sans abîmer les coins est top aussi. Il faut bien chevaucher le coin à séparer avec la partie collante. Au début j'ai mis l'autocollant en entier un peu vers l'intérieur du film et ça ne marche pas comme ça, il vaut mieux bien recouvrir le coin pour le séparer que vouloir recouvrir le plus de surface avec la partie collante. Ce motif Avantages : - Le motif laisse bien passer la lumière. Il scintille quand elle passe à travers. - Cet aspect verre poli est très opaque. Je vois à peine l'ombre de mon propre croisillon à travers. On a donc une intimité optimale. - Il n'y a pas de motif mais une surface uniforme imitation verre poli, la pose et la découpe est donc très facile. Désavantages - Le collé pailleté fait un peu bling-bling - Même si on est sur un motif plutôt lumineux, il existe des motifs qui laissent encore mieux passer la lumière. Un motif « déformant » par exemple va laisser passer la lumière mieux qu' un rideau en voile. Celui-ci est légèrement moins « passe lumière »

J’ai utilisé ce film adhésif sur les étagères en verre trempé de mon armoire de toilette car les traces d’eau et de produits sont très pénibles à nettoyer sur un verre lisse. Cet aspect dépoli en plus d’être du plus bel effet permet de conserver suffisamment de transparence pour voir au travers par le dessous sur les étagères les plus hautes, sans altérer l’esthétique et avec un gain incroyable au niveau de l’entretien. La texture légèrement brillante est du plus bel effet. La pose est d’une simplicité enfantine. On mouille le support, on pose le film, on maroufle, on coupe au cutter ce qui dépasse. 6 étagères en 1h. Je rachèterai sans hésiter pour faire toute la cuisine.

C'est un gros rouleau (grande longueur), livré avec un cutter pour tailler aux dimensions de vos fenêtres (prévoir un support de coupe en dessous ! genre un carton épais) et une raclette en plastique pour chasser les bulles. Sa largeur le rend pratique pour les grandes fenêtres. Un petit mode d'emploi précise comment installer (c'est facile) et donne des détails sur le produit. Le film protège bien des regards extérieurs (et vers l'extérieur, bien sûr), mais est moins efficace (on voit des silhouettes) quand il fait noir dehors et que la pièce est éclairée. Cela reste une alternative pratique aux rideaux.
