The film feels sturdy and not too fragile and has easy instructions: just make up some soapy water in a spray bottle using washing up liquid and water, give the window a quick clean, roughly measure the size you need (make it a bit larger) , peel off the guard cover, spray the film, spray the window with the soapy solution, stick film to window, spray it again, use the supplier scraper to get the bubbles out (may need to repeat as needed) and use a sharp knife to cut the excess off along the window line, leave to dry. Makes the window slightly darker but not too bad, now just going to wait for the next hot day to see about room temperatures! Overall though I'd say it's great for the price and does the job! So... having read many customer reviews about these reflective window films, the same things kept coming up. It's not necessarily the film that's the issue... it's the application. Repeated comments of it creases and you cannot remove one, air bubbles, difficulty in applying, cutting, etc. The secret is take your time, be patient, and slowly wins the race. Tips to help apply: 1. Clean your window thoroughly. When ready, use the finest mister spray to dampen the glass (not large water droplets). Ensure NO dust anywhere around window or surface used to separate film. 2. Separate the film from the backing. This is fiddly. Use the small stickers provided right in and on the top corner and peel apart. Do not try to part in the middle.. it's near impossible!. 3. Once peeled apart, apply a fine mist spray to the reflective glass side of the film. 4. Place it into a top corner and gently work your way down with light pressure using the plastic blade supplied. 5. Spraying the film back aids the blade's movements. Dont grind it nor too light.. firm pressure is needed. Keep working the blade from the middle out towards the edges and top to bottom. This takes time if you have never done it before. 6. Trim with a very sharp blade into the glass windowframe - firm but not too hard. If the blade is not sharp, the film will snag. 7. Persevere patiently... it does work. It is fiddly and time consuming. Rushing can cause creasing, trap dust or dirt between film and window leaving raised spots, and cutting wrongly will snag or cut too much off. The end result looks good. If using the tinted antiglare/reflective, you will notice the window is darker. From daytime outside, you cannot see in. However when inside is brighter (light on at night) you can be seen. The heat loss from direct sunlight is noticeable as its reflected out, reducing the greenhouse effect.

This item is rubbish. After opening 3 rolls of the same colour but different sizes. There were colour differences. Imperfections in the material itself and now we have rolls of opened material that is useless to us. Please don't waste your money ( my husband builds boats and does these for a living on the boats but this stuff is not fit for purpose. Also the quality of the knives supplied and In the kits we bought are rubbish also. Application is rubbish and the instructions are non existent.

I had this fitted within hour on my own and never done before..... Watched a YouTube clip... Very easy to install...made up with it, I chose black silver as it looks more like black mirror rather than silver silver which is a full on silver shine... Prefer black. Think any negatives will be those who've done a bad job... I'm suprised how easy it is to put up once you've checked a few videos out... Will some for living room at some point... Im not a great fan of the sun of the heat so I find it good for heat absorbsion and the bonus of some privacy... My bedroom window happens to be where other tennants pass by and it's annoying... I bought similar to this a while back , this product is much better it's a bit thicker to the touch ,and once it's up or on the window it is pretty much hard to see through, you have to get right upto the glass with your hand over your eyebrows to see in , were my last one you could see peoples outlines even from a distance, so for this product it's a big thumbs up from me

Dies ist nicht das erste Mal, dass ich diesen Artikel kaufe. Ich benutze es seit zwei Jahren im Außenbereich für meine Fenster in meiner vorherigen Wohnung. Das Material ist stark und langlebig im Freien (Regen oder Wind). Ich fand es auch sehr praktisch, es nur mit doppelseitigem Klebeband zu verwenden.

Ist es möglich die Folie auch von außen anzubringen, denn von innen angebracht wird die Scheibe extrem heiß, und wir haben da nun Bedenken weil es Holzfenster sind.

Die Verdunkelung und auch der Wärmeschutz sind merkbar, aber das Anbringen der Recht dicken Folie ist der Horror. Ohne Blasen oder Knicke! unmöglich und wir haben es an 3 Fenstern angebracht. Man kann die Blasen auch nicht einfach aufpieksen wie bei einer Displayschutzfolie, weil die Folie so dick ist, bleibt die Luft an der Stelle drunter bzw. kehrt sofort zurück. Nochmal würde ich sie nicht kaufen.
